Petre our Master Carpenter introduced the world to Rakija Sticks in 2015. Using the finest premium oak from the Balkan Region, he hand crafts and cures each individual stick to perfection.

Petre knows the keys to aging great Rakija are time and patience, but having a sense of good craftsmanship is also a talent that goes a long way.

CRAFTING & CURING
After aging the oak, Petre then hand crafts each Rakija Stick to his unique design to expose every capillary to enable cask quality aging in the bottle.

Using our proprietary curing method each Rakija Stick is lightly toasted to perfection. So it can impart the flavors, colours and aromas that we love in a great Whiskey.

HOW'S YOUR RAKIJA STICK MADE?
SUSTAINABLY
SOURCED OAK
Our Rakija Sticks are made from white oak which is used in the production of wine and whiskey barrels across the world.
We work closely with our oak suppliers and monitor their compliance with our code of conduct. We would never knowingly become involved in, collude with or procure timber from illegal logging operations.
We will always ensure we comply with all applicable local and national laws in the sourcing of oak. Should any supplier not adhere to our systems or fail to demonstrate the oak used is from legal sources, we cease purchasing from those suppliers immediately.

Once the Rakija Sicks have cooled from the toasting process, they are packed immediately to lock in all of the flavours and aromas .

On the packet Petre provides a set of simple instructions and a flavour guide.
